The heart of my work is helping clients more meaningfully communicate their ideas, basic needs and desires in their daily lives.
I believe strongly in a "whole person" approach to communication. I provide play-based and functionally-based therapy services in comfortable and familiar settings.
With the last three years In this unique time of pandemic social isolation, educational confusion, and stress, I am welcoming creative ways to reach each child/adolescent, to close the gap.
"Ellen has been working with my daughter and our family for almost a year. Before she came into our lives, I was in despair and so worried about my daughter's lagging social skills and behavior challenges. It was impacting our whole family. Ellen assured me she would put her heart and soul into helping my daughter and our family. And she delivered.
Today, my daughter has meaningful friendships at school, participates in different play themes and expresses her emotions in productive ways. And I am a much more confident parent. Ellen is creative, intuitive, playful, and patient in her approach to children. We are grateful for the work she has done for us."
